چکیده

This work describes an eeort to model the radio-frequency curing of epoxy adhesives in bonding of composites. We present a model based on the three-dimensional heat equation which includes nonlinear heat generating terms. A constructive proof of existence and uniqueness of solutions to our governing equations is given, providing a framework for the development of a computational method. Furthermore, using experimental data, we apply the numerical method to study the importance of the nonlinear contributions of an internal exothermic reaction which takes place as the adhesive cures.

Design and Development of an Optimized Fuzzy Proportional-Integral-Derivative Controller using Genetic Algorithm

The polymerization of resin adhesives, which is highly nonlinear, is chosen as a control process in this paper. When phenol and formaldehyde are mixed, a sudden and unpredictable heat is produced due to an exothermic reaction, which could cause the deviation of process temperature and hence diminish the product quality. Therefore, temperature control is necessitated for exothermic batch reactor...

Low-temperature growth of carbon nanotubes by selective heating of catalyst

Currently, high crystalline quality materials such as carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are produced only at a temperature in an excess of 500 C. This paper reports on low-temperature synthesis of CNTs by selective heating of catalytic particles using two complementary mechanisms: enhanced exothermic catalytic reactions and inductive heating by radio frequency electromagnetic fields.

Anti-Collision Protocol for RFID-Sensor Network and the Security Threats

To uniquely identify physical objects, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) systems are used with its limitless possibilities and low cost. RFID is a method of remotely storing and retrieving data using devices called RFID tags. An RFID tag is a small object, such as an adhesive sticker, that can be attached to or incorporated into a product. But with this common scenario involving numerous ta...
